About

W

indy City International Film Festival is a hot new independent film fest taking place in Chicago every summer. We've got some rockin' talent in this city, with some of the best training centers for film-making and acting in the world, but our emerging artists were in need of more public screening opportunities. We decided to launch our fest to provide a home for our local filmmakers and bring the best indie films from around the world to the Chicago community. Our networking events, parties, and brunches create an enticing screening destination for industry professionals and a fun weekend for all. So whether you are a Chicagoan looking for something exciting to do, or a filmmaker looking for your next project, we hope you'll come to the Windy City International Film Festival for some mingling, movies, and mimosas!

The inaugural Windy City International Film Festival kicked off in June 2017 and welcomed an audience of 500 during the 3-day event. Over 150 filmmakers and industry guests were in attendance.

Though this was the first year, you'd never know it from how efficiently it was run. The organizers are amazing, the venue was great, the parties were super fun, and loads of filmmakers attended. I had an absolute blast at this event!

Her first self-produced and co-written short film, "Off Book", is currently enjoying success in the festival circuit and has been nominated for a slew of awards. In 2016, she served as Co-Director of the Juggernaut Sci-Fi and Fantasy Short Film Festival, which welcomed a local Chicago audience of 300.
